Anyone know much about college loans and payments?
My school screwed me over. This is the shortest path to put it. I have a simple question. Can I somehow declare myself an independent, although I can not answer yes to any questions on the FAFSA site? If you have no experience with what would be great. Thank you.
Nope, you can not "declare" yourself independent. The only way of being independent is being able to answer YES to any of the 13 questions of dependency state. The college is not screwing you over, Kid every college in the country in the United States seeking federal assistance to students must pass by these federal guidelines and that you are not distinguished in some way. In general, until you're 24, married, have children you support, become a veteran or earn your degree, you must report your parents income if you want to be considered for one of "free" grants. Sorry.
