Should I be a LVN or RN?

I thought to try nursing school, but I'm confused with the American system (I am from Europe), so I did some research on programs around my area and I found they were pretty good 2 years programs became an RN. Of course, I also found the conditions. The problem is they are very touched and have 2-4 year waiting lists. After I discovered I considered a few private schools that offer LVN programs for 12 months and they cost $ 28000. What do I take my prerequisites and wait 2-4 years for an RN, or go ahead and take a student loan to pay for school private and became a LVN? Is it worth paying such a sum for a career NVG that does not pay much money? Plus I need to take a aditionel $ 10,000 to pay my rent Wile school. I need advice because I can decide not over. I discovered that hospitals are not LVN hired anymore.I live in Orange County, California PS: I want to be an RN eventually.

There is a big difference in pay between LVN and RN. However, if you do not want to spend 2 years in the work of pre-reqs so I suggest going through the LVN program and once you have completed and has one year of experience, most schools will allow you to do what is often referred to as a "bridge" program. In this program, you have to take a couple of pre-reqs (which could be achieved during this year that you work as a nurse), then you would do a year or just over a year on the bridge program.
