Could University Education Be Free for US Citizen like Schools?
I studied in south of India. I obtained four university degrees and spend 15 years in college after my 12 years of school. All my education from 1 grade to PHD was free of my cost. Today my daughter graduated from USA private university, IIT Chicago with a four year science degree. She worked part time and in spite of that she has $100, 000 student’s loan. US universities offer full scholarship to foreign students and they get job too. However, US citizen pay full tuition fee from student loan and after graduation no job. How do think USA economy would improve! Was it difficult for Obama to figure out the state of USA students? Could it be feasible to make University education free for all USA citizen? We are writing off house loans and car industries. USA future is on the students of USA.

Where do you think the money to pay for the expenses of the university (ulilities, buildings, depreciation, staff, teachers, etc) comes from?
I suppose it could come from the government but the government of course gets its money via taxing. So you either pay the school directly IF you choose to use the school. Or you could be forced via taxes to pay for the schools whether you use them or not. And the government of course always has a way of being inefficient. Meaning they get to tax more than the pay out to the schools.
Meaning it’s a better deal for all of us if people pay for college as they go.
