How about a government medical loan program?
As far as more free market solutions to health care problems; How about a federal program like college loans for people who need expensive procedures. Generally I pay cash when I see a doctor. A few years back when my GF needed a procedure, I had to put the 14K on my credit card. That kinda sucked, but… that’s life. I would far preferred to have been able to get a loan at a reasonable rate. What about a loan structure, like college loans, you do not have to make payments or accrue interest until you recover and get back on your feet.
