can nypd find a l.a. county FTA warrant while doing a applicant investigation?
i posted a previous thread but forgot to ask this question .
I recieved a desk appearance ticket for writing on a payphone with a black marker while heavily intoxicated one night while on vacation in los angeles . the officers didnt finger print me or arrest me or take my picture however did give me a ticket . i was going home to nyc the next day and was not able to go to court as well as i had lost the ticket. I am currently about to complete grad school and weird enough have applied to the nypd . i have processed with federal agencies before for law enforcement positions and nothing ever hit with the warrant however nypd does a “NLETS” check unlike the feds and i was wondering if the nypd will get a hit . the warrant is confirmed and in the court house and if i had the money i would get a lawyer and go there but with 30 000 in student loans thats not an option besides being broke.
I don’t know if they WILL find the warrant. ANY US law enforcement agency CAN find any outstanding warrant in the US.
In any case, you SHOULD resolve the case with LA county. I believe you are technically a fugitive.
