Should I consolidate my student loans federal government?

I have undergraduate and graduate loans rates Interest on 8.02%. The loans are also important. I know I missed the deadline for the rate at the end of June But if I gather right now? I am having difficulty finding permanent employemnt too. There postponed / forbearrances with consolidation? Moreover, that porters are the best consolidation loans (I hope this is the correct term) to choose.? Thank you all for assistance.

you should consolidate your loans. the interest rate actually gets rounded to the nearest 1/8th of a% then becomes a fixed rate. If all your loans are at 8.02, your new rate would be 8.125% to reduce the rate, you can do that with incentives. Some companies offer better incentives then others, but can not sell your loans and you lose the incentive if it occurs. your monthly payments would be sharply reduced, because the long term becomes based off the amount of your loan, but now you are on a period of 10 years. that may be why your payments are higher. wherever stay, you earn interest on the unsubsidized portions. each company has to offer because it is regulated by the government (but it is Forbearance them to offer, you accrue interest on everything, but your payments are deferred). you may want to ask your current lender to deferment of "economic hardship". To be eligible, take your current monthly payment on your student loans (just your federal This would not include your private loans if you have one), then multiply by 5. if the result is more than you made before taxes per month, you're eligible postponement. Also, if you work less than 30 hours per week, but actively seeking employment in any field that you would benefit from the postponement unemployment where your subsidized interest does not accumulate. abstention is if you do not meet these requirements but still need to defer payments. If you have further questions, feel free to message me, that's what I do. Good luck anyway!
