I’m looking for info. on the federal government stopping student loan payments after Hurricane Katrina hit ?
I think the U.S. Senate pass a grouping of legislation to legally stop all types of obligations, because of the storm. I am looking for these documents on line.
I don’t know anything about stopping payments all together, but they stopped my payments for two months on Sallie Mae. I still paid it so if I even get into a bind I still have the two months.
