Student loans for public services employees?
If I have $150,000 of student loans, and will likely be working in a hospital or clinic, what’s the best option to pay off these student loans? I’ve heard of plans where you can pay 10% for 10 years and forgiven for the rest. Anyone have any good info on this? Any recommendations on financial planners to talk to in San Diego? Thanks!
Some loans are partially forgiven for teaching in low income schools.
Some hospitals participate in such programs, you’ll need to speak with the hospital individually to find out what their participation is (go to their human resource dept.)
Speak with a representative of your bank as well for different payment plans, deferment, forebearance, forgiveness, etc.
