Questions about studying in Australia for citizens?

If you are an Australia citizen, I know that you get loans or grants for education, but do you get help as far as housing. I am a dual citizen aus/US and would like to study my PHD in Aus. just for the change of environment. I don’t have money, but i can work when I get there (Aus). but I was just wondering if there is any help from the government for housing for students, like a loan or something apart from the help you get for eduction. I believe it is called FEEHELP for education.

Please any useful info. will be helpful
Thanks a lot…….

Government may not see you as an “Australian Citizen” if you have not spent a lot of time here for the purposes of Austudy payments from Centrelink as you need to be a permanent resident, not just a citizen.

Also for fee assistance with uni too

As far as assitance with housing, there is not much out there but you could check out the link below:

There used to be a Student Loan Scheme that assisted with relocation for study etc, however that has now ceased.
