Why is obama promising free education?
We already have free college education. Anybody that doesn’t have money can get Federal and State grants that don’t have to be paid back. There is no reason for people to be poor and uneducated, except for the excuse of not wanting to put in the hard work and discipline it takes to get through high school, learn those skills and go to college. This is a huge illusion of obamas.
You can get free money to go to all the Universities and State colleges in Ca. Now if you are middle class, you might have to work some while you go to college, but if you’re poor it’s a free ride.
It is blatant pandering to the young voters.
All the college kids hear is “If you elect Barack Obama, he’ll give you FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS a year!!”. They’re young. They fall for that sort of thing very, very easily.
There is absolutely NO way, financially, he could pull off what he is proposing.
We’re essentially talking about extending adolescence for 4 more years. Not only will these work capable adults be receiving 4k to put towards tuition, they’ll also be receiving Barack’s welfare checks, b/c they will not be contributing to the economy by working and paying taxes.
Most will live at home with mommy and daddy and attend the local community college, happily collecting their welfare checks and occasionally showing up for class if they feel like it.
We are talking about BILLIONS of dollars here. It isn’t just tuition, either. It would mean hundreds of new CAMPUSES of community colleges complete with faculty. Community colleges will just extend high school for four more years. And what’s worse – they will be GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED.
Has anyone REALLY thought that through? Do we REALLY want secondary education to be provided by the government? Sounds like a recipe for indoctrination-like disaster to me.
The college degree of Obama’s will be worth no more than today’s GED. If it is available to everyone, it shows employers absolutely NOTHING about the applicant’s drive and commitment to succeed and to see a task through to the end.
Bottom line: Obama wants college aged kids to vote for him, and he’s willing to feed them a lie to obtain it.
