Seeking tuition money, wanted some advice….?
I am a 24 year old college student living in California. I just recentlly transferred to a private college that offers a wonderful education, but it is costly.
I work part-time, but my income just about covers my living expenses. I need to know the best way to go about paying for my tuition. Any reasonable scholarships, grants or anything like that. I’ve never applied, so I’m not quite sure how to go about it or which scholarships or grants to go for.
I would, of course, opt for student loans, but my credit isn’t the best and it’s difficult for me to find a co-signer (although I am looking).
Any ideas and helpful advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m really freaked out!
Look for free stuff online and on campus–totally helps. For example, check out www.collegeosity.com –they have a raffle going on right now where you can win $250 or $150 just for posting on the site (which is super easy). Also, go to your school counselors–they often get info re: scholarships and may be able to help you find some that you can try out for. Good luck!
