Having problems getting a student loan bcuz my school is NOT eligible to receive Federal Stafford loans. Help?

I have been rejected by a few major lenders for student loans for a cal-bar accredited law school in CA. My school is not eligible to receive federal stafford loans b/cuz they are a small school. Anyone have any advice on lenders who may give me a loan? I know they have to be private but Wells Fargo told me that lenders have a list of schools they will do business with and if you are not on that list you can’t get one. Its basically a risk management assessment based on how likely they think you are to pay back the loans. Any advice? I have worked so hard to go to law school and I cant afford to live and make tuition without a loan. I do not own a home to take a mortgage out on either.

You may want to try a Perkins Loan, its a part of financial aid, but not like the stafford (Sub & Unsub) loans. You may also want to try Sallie Mae, Citibank, or another Private Loan company to see if you are eligible for a career training loan. These loans are based on credit. You do not have to complete the FAFSA to apply for these loans. That school may be on the list, or I dont see why your school wont advise you as to what lender you can apply with.
