I am looking for a bit of legal advice on my seperation and what I am entitled to as well as custody!?
My husband left me after 2 years of marriage for another woman (I hate cheaters). We did not have much together, we had 2 vehicles and a consolidation loan and of course my beautiful little girl. As of right now I have been nothing but nice, I bend over backwards to let him see her whenever and get kicked in the teeth every time. The current undocumented agreement we have is that he gets her on days she is not in school from when he finishes work til 6 and every other weekend, he gives me 300 a month for support. I would like to get a portion of the consolidation loan we have together from him as well due to the fact that a large part of that is his debt. Now that loan includes MY car so what I am proposing is that I take $6000 off for the value of the car and we split the remainder from the time we were seperated. Also it is in my name due to the fact that he claimed bankruptsy. Does anyone know if I can do this?!
I second the lawyer idea. The longer you wait the worse it will end up. Get it all documented and approved by a judge. The sooner the better.
