Are school loans and interest tax deductible?

My payments are deferred until next year but there I am already accruing interest. Can I declare those in my taxes even if I haven’t paid a cent?

Student loan interest is only deductible once you start paying it. But then you can claim the interest for as many years as you pay the loan, there’s not a time limit.
