Can creditors sue you if you try to pay at least something everymonth?

I have a credit card account with Citibank and have not paid. A law "office contacted me saying that payment must be paid in full and I dont have payment options. They said that my loan students that I have with them as they can turn them into default and the consequences of this debt. I told them to do what they have to do because payment in full is not an option for me now. What can they do? Is it true about my student loans? Can I still make Payments to stop this? They are always stronger and offensive as if you were scum.

You're confusing "law" office of violating law. Yes, they can sue you, no, they can sue you. It is not "illegal" do not pay your debts, they are just trying to intimidate you. Regarding student loans, I do not know. You pull the student loan paperwork and read it to see what can happen. Get pleasure and the next time they call tell them you want to be contacted in writing and you record the call. Then when you receive a letter with an address and a contact name for the firm (collector) send them a letter saying that you can pay $ X per month and to send the check. Add your Citibank account number and the words "as agreed" on the memo line. Keep good track of what you really pay and what you agree to ensure make the payment. This way, if you sue and the judge finds that you have tried to come to a reasonable settlement, it can help you pursuit. Good luck.
