Is Sallie Mae the only servicer used for Stafford student loans? ?
I am applying to a Massachusetts state college but I owe money to sallie mae from a state college in Rhode Island. I am wondering if this will affect my chances of receiving a loan at this school and if Sallie Mae is the only loan servicer/guarantor used.
no, actually I am not sure about your college but last year many colleges switched from Sallie Mae to another company, I’ll see if I can find the link. I think it happened after that credit rating issue last May.
