I lost my financial aid

Today I received a letter in the mail from my university that stated i lost my student loan and grants due to having dropped too many courses this past school year. I have had terrible back problems for a year and a half and this past spring i underwent two back surgeries to which I had to drop courses. I understand the fact that this is entirely my fault and in no way am i looking for sympathy. My school said that i can write an appeal or I can become part of this fresh start program which means i will have to pay for one full year before receiving financial aid again. I have a feeling that the appeal is a lost cause and will not work. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, and or suggestions that would help me out in this situation on how to pay for my school. Thanks
I am going to try and appeal even though i dont think it is a strong possibility i will get it

I went through a similar situation a while back and I did the appeal. Get copies of your medical records and type out a letter that explains your situation and sign it. Get it to them AS AP so they know you are serious about your fresh start. GOOD LUCK!
