Cost of living vrs Salary calculators?
I am trying to show my employers that I need a raise to afford to live. I currently have to work 7 days a week to make ends meet because of so much student loan debt. I was wondering if there are any calculators, or just ways to calculate what is a necessary salary when you take a staff persons debts or normal monthy costs of living into account.
I have made my own charts where I show all of my monthly expenses that are more or less necessity to WORK at that said job (rent, gas, student loans, car payment, car insurance payment, cell phone, minimum credit card payments) and show how my salary isn’t enough to pay all of those bills.
But I was just wondering if there are calculators out there.

While I’m certain that your costs of living are relevant to you, why would they be relevant to your employer? Anyone can increase there costs of living.
I don’t think you will find any calculators to achieve your goal. You can look up what the poverty level is considered to be, but again, that doesn’t seem relevant.
If your buddy is wealthy and has no costs of living, should he be required to work for free? If another spand money like it grows on trees, should their employer be required to pay them more?
I hope you get the point. What you need to do is convince your employer why you are worth more to him than some alternative person.
