Does any one else have problems with Sallie Mae?
I have a student loan from them that i can’t afford to pay. its way too high. and they say i don ‘t qualify for a forbearance anymore and i have to pay a huge amount just to get a deferment. Now they threaten to send me to credit and I made arrangements to have a certain amount taken out of my bank account so thatt they won’t send me to credit and its they have taken the money out. its been a week and a half now. Plus, i used to live w/ my sis and now that I’ve moved I gave them my new address and they continue to call her, Literally every hour, everyday. sometimes early in the morning and late at night. they use different numbers also. She keeps telling them that i don’t live there anymore but they don’t listen. Its not like they don’t have any way to contact me. i don’t have a phone now but they have my email and my address. What can I do?
I believe you need legal help. Being a student you are stretched to the breaking point. What you should do, I think is to contact legal aid in your city.
