Loan Forgiveness?
What would be the best way options for loan forgiveness for students participating in a Criminal Justice Degree?
There are a few loan forgiveness programs out there. Check them out at http://www.finaid.org/loans/forgiveness.phtml .
There is a new forgiveness program that was just enacted in October for Public Service. It offers forgiveness for public service employees after 10 years of payments and service. More about that is at http://www.finaid.org/loans/publicservice.phtml
You may also qualify for programs through your state or an employer.
Of course, there are the deferments and forbearances, but those are only temporary and interest does accrue.
