Do you receive a T4 slip for student loans from the provincial gov’t in Canada?
A student loan is not taxable and you will not receive a T4 type slip. However, if a portion of your loan was in the form of a grant that is not required to be repaid, then this amount is taxable and you will receive a T4A slip that you will have to report and include with your tax return.
