Best colleges in California for a student with a 3.5 GPA (Weighted)?
My dream college is UCLA or USC… Probably more UCLA because it is a public college… But I know my chances of getting in there are slim to none…But anyways what are some other good colleges for a student with a 3.5 GPA, average amount of extra curricular (good but nothing that stands out), and I’m waiting for my SAT scores but I know they gotta be at least over an 1100… Should I just goto a Community College and try my luck at UCLA or should I try another UC school or a Cal State school or what? I’m moving there for my senior year of high school and I plan on attending college out there… so I guess being instate helps… Any suggestions or opinions? Also I can’t afford to pay $30,000 a year and then get piled up in student loans… So I guess public instiutuions would be best…
Well, you can probably get into a CSU with that GPA, but I think UCs are better than CSUs, so I suggest going to a community college for 2 years and then applying for transfer to UCLA. Remember, you have to do well in community college also for a better shot at UCLA.
