Student Loan Default … what are my options?
I am facing default on my student loan. I can not pay $ 500 per month, they want payment. Does anyone know if there are lawyers who deal with this kind of thing? I can not declare bankruptcy, if this is not an option. I called a credit care, and they can not get my payments lowered. I want to make payments, but simply $ 500 per month. Ideas?
Geez, how much have you borrowed money to owe a large payment? It is terribly high. Did you say that the lender you can not pay $ 500 per month, and has proposed a lower payment? They are not likely to OK $ 15 per month, but can range from $ 300 or something like that. Good luck.
