Where can I find a student loan if I do not need a cosigner?

I am 18 years old and about to be a freshman at a state school. I asked for a loan but they needed a cosigner my parents were applied and rejected because they have a second mortgage. Anyone know any websites that have student loans that I can sign?

Federal loans do not require co-signer and no credit check. Federal Stafford loans are available to anyone, regardless of parents with high incomes. You apply to http://fafsa.ed.gov The max load for a freshman can borrow Federal Stafford loans is 5,500 a year. The government does not give you more money to attend one of the expensive public school unless your parents are willing to take the parent PLUS loan for you … (Remember that you need their help for all four years.) If you can not afford the state option, you might consider other alternatives.
