Yikes! Im about to freak out.. could this be right?
Ive made approximately 39,000-41,000 this year (havent received my W2 forms back yet so im not POSITIVE)
I am single, rent a house, and claim 1 for my taxes.
I have student loans and had 2,000-3,000 in interest payments this year.
I just did a little calculator and it said i will OWE 3k this year?! Obviously if i owe it.. i owe it. But… that just didnt seem right whatsoever to me?
Last year i made just slightly less and ended up getting like 500.00.
So what do you think? Did i do something wrong? Could i really owe THAT much?
