can i pay less than the interest on my student loan withough affecting my credit?
this is a OSAP student loan question , canada ontario
Right now, I am paying the interest only which is good but i need to get better monthly payment. can i do that withough effecting credit
or Can i get a house even if i consuladate my loan to one easy payment plan .
Normally you repay your OSAP over 9 1/2 years. You can get your repayment period extended to 15 years, which will lower your monthly payments but you will end up paying a lot more.
You need to check with your loan officer at your bank about what to do if you want to buy a house. Your debt ratio is going to have a huge effect, more than whether you have consolidated your loans.
