would i be able to get a lease? nissan versa.?
my credit score is ~700 (transunion), its lower with equifax.
had a few problems (delinquent accounts, late payments) a few years back. no issues since then. i have zero debt and pay my credit card bill in full each month.
i am a graduate student and make ~20k.
i also have no auto history – my previous car was paid for in cash (and was in my mother’s name, though i paid for it).
i’m interested in leasing a 2009 nissan versa. what are the chances i could get a lease? or for that matter, a loan — though i am really interested in leasing.
my past probs are long taken care of. I have no accounts with a balance.
Are the delinquent accounts paid? Are they showing on the report? DeRogs can prevent you from leasing. Leasing is generally for GOOD credit people. A 700 score does not really mean GOOD credit if you are young. It means a good/lucky start.
Ask the dealer, but not on a Versa. You may only be able to get approved on Mazda or VW. Nissan Versas have POOR resale and dont lease good. You WILL need $$$$ down (like 4 grand) to lease.
