Student Loan repayment for US Army?
I’m in DEP and I signed contract to be in the Delayed Entry Program awhile back. I think I sign another contract before I ship off to basic training. Do I put the Student Loan Repayment Program on the contract before I ship off to basic training? Or am I suppose to put it while I’m in DEP?
Yes, you need to make sure your recruiter knows you want loan repayment, you cannot just show up at meps to ship out, and then tell them.
It has to bein your enlistment contract you sign at meps, the day before you ship out.
Also note, if you get loan repayment, you do NOT qualify for the GI Bill during this enlistment.
NOTE: everyone signs two contracts, a DEP contract and an Enlistment contract.
