Can my parents kick me out of house if I am 18, live in British Columbia and don’t have a job?

Hello, my situation is very undetermined right now. Basically, I have to paths: 1) Get student loan and part-time job and go to BCIT (a college in Vancouver) in Septemeber. 2) Get a full-time job that is not fast food and move out to live independantly. My parents say they are gonna kick me out of the house at the end of August, so if none of those 2 plans work out I don’t know what I can do. My question is can they do that? I dont think so because the age of majority in BC is 19 so I am not the age of majority yet till next summer. But maybe I am wrong? Also if I was age of majority and still wouldnt have a job, would they be able to kick me out on the streets?

I think likely they can, since, at 15, you are legally old enough to get a job, full-time or part-time, at 16 you are old enough to marry, at 18, old enough to go to prison, and at 16, old enough to quit school.
You have to be 19 to consume alcohol, or to get legal/medical counselling without parents’ consent.
If you are 19 or older, you cannot legally expect your parents to support you forever, or until you find a job. That is a personal arrangement between parents and their children.
