Refund status?
How many times a week does the irs update their refund status infor? also we filed 1 day before my friend and her return is All done with ecxpected refund date 2/8 ours is still being processed? could this be because our return status is married/joint and there are more forms due to interest income, student loan interest, and mortage interest worksheets and where hers is just a w2 with 1 dependant? I dunno any insight would be gladly appreciated!! thanks =oD
The IRS updates their status page on WED of each week. Today my status changed from a general refund date to a direct deposit date of Feb 8th. I have never known the IRS to update on any other day of the week.
I think if you are claiming student loan interest or any of the educational credits, alternative minimum tax, ect., that your refund will be delayed. My daughter is claiming the Hope Credit for her college loans but she is waiting to file hers until after FEB 11 because that is what the IRS said would be the first date they would start processing those kind of returns. That is probably why your return has not been processed yet–hopefully it will next week!
