How can I push back the repayment of my student loan for 12 mos?
I took 3 separate loans that add up to 30,000. I’m scheduled to start repaying them in June but I want to push the repayment back to June of 2009 so I can get preapproved for a mortgage according to the broker.
What are my options for pushing back the date? She said it needs to be in writing so she can process the mortgage application.
Contact your lender and see if you can get a deferment. There are several types of deferments available, most of them are income based. There are also Lender Deferments when they approved you based on circumstances rather than income. They do take a while sometimes, so contact them soon.
