Lots of questions about insurance, credit cards, student loans?
I’m going to be on my own next year, paying insurance, phone bills, gas, tuition etc. Is there a website that can tell me how credit cards work, what APR is, what a deductible is, etc.?
Credit cards.
They can ruin your life if you don’t use them correctly.
If you get one, pay it in full each month.
It is 100% myth that you need to carry balances for good credit – in fact the opposite is true.
Dont let them foul up your life. Employers check credit ratings, so do landlords, creditors, and car insurance companies.
APR’s – you never pay them if you pay your card in full each month.
Deductible.
As in a car. If you damage your car – the insurance will fix it – you just pay the deductible.
That is if you carry something called comprehensive insurance, which you have to carry if your car is financed.
