I am currently in beauty school and i plan on leaving and going back to school…what to do with my loans?
Okaii…so i am currently a beauty school student! I want to go back to a university in the spring though but im not done with beauty school…thats okaii though because i can always go back there! anywho…i had to take out loans for beauty school now im not sure what to do about them! Should i defer (what ever that means) my loans? should i cancel them? im new to all this so im not really sure what i should do!!! If this is confusing you feel free to ask me what the hell im talking about! lol
We would all love to cancel our student loans. LOL. However in your case if you are attending a different school that participates in federal student loans/grants then go back to the FAFSA and add that school. In the meantime contact your current lender and let them now you are not working and on your way back to a new school. If you fail to do that that will lead to big trouble in the near future. Once you start school your schools financial aid office should contact the lender and let them know you are enrolled qualifying you for an in-school deferment. It would be wise to contact the school as soon as you submit the FAFSA sometime they move slow.
You can still go back to FAFSA online today and enter your new school so you can get some aid this Spring.
The 2009-2010 School Year (July 1st, 2009 – June 30th, 2010):
FAFSA on the Web applications must be submitted by midnight Central Daylight time, June 30, 2010.
Corrections on the Web forms must be submitted by midnight Central Daylight time, September 15, 2010.
Note: Your school must have your complete and correct information by your last day of enrollment in the 2009-2010 school year.
