Does the GI Bill pay for student loans before becoming active?
my husband has school loans and i wanted to know if the GI Bill will pay off those loans even before he became active..
No. There is a seperate program to pay off or help pay off student loans.
Also the GI Bill doesn’t become effective right as you enlist either.

Up to $65,000 for Soldiers who enlist full time in the Army for three or more years
Up to $20,000 for Soldiers who enlist in the Army Reserve for six years
