Student Grant/Loan/ Bursary.?
Any idea how long it takes for the money to come through?
I’m a bit worried that I won’t be able to afford the rent of my flat and stuff if it doesn’t come through for a while.
I would check the website but it keeps not letting my log in saying my details are incorrect even after I reset them..
How long ago did you receive your letter?
I applied in May/June this year for my student finance, and got the finalised Payment Schedule letter about 6 weeks after. The payment schedule tells you what date the installments will be paid to you.
The tuition fees are paid straight to your university, you need to take the payment schedule letter to registration. The maintenance grant/loan gets paid to you in 3 installments. The first is around the 26th-28th Sept, and then the 2nd installment is in January, and the 3rd installment at the end of April/beginning of May.
The date you’ll get paid your bursary depends on your university. Generally, you get paid the bursary after your first term of university. I got mine in January after first term.
