If im behind on my student loans can go into default?
I have two student loans that I'm trying to bear fruit. Times arent the best right now and with other bills I pay and working hours lost due to the im saving 200 dollars on two behind. I pay each month, but I just do the necessary funds to catch up now. Is this the cause of my loan to go into default?
My first advice is to contact your lender! You might be able to move the adjournment or even forbearance on your loans temporary that can reduce or even suspend your payments for a short time. If you are not in contact with them and stop making monthly payments required there is a very strong likelihood that your loans will go into default, but I can not stress enough to call your lender ASAP to explore your options. Most lenders not want you to go into default almost as much as you do not want either, but it will not be proactive.
