Student loan deferment and tax refund????
We have our student loans in an “economic hardship” Deferment status right now. We aren’t in default by any means…..! ….just in deferment.
Will this affect us getting our tax refund? I know sometimes they seize them….but I was thinking that was more-so if you were in default?
Yes, generally they only grab them when you’re in default.
It would be smart, and sensible to pay something on them from the rebate. That would be making a good choice.
