Will Sallie Mae go Bankrupt?
I have a very limited understanding of whats going on with our economy. All i know it that I have a scary amount of student loans that I would love to not have to pay back (my education should be priceless right?!). I am about 2 clicks away from consolidating all my Sallie Mae loans with the federal government (direct student loans) but dont want to push that button until i find out this answer.
Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae went bankrupt why not Sallie Mae?? If Sallie Mae went bankrupt would I still have to pay back mysallie mae loans? Are people with loans from dead banks having to continue payments? Does anyone want to pay off my student loans for me?
no on the loan unless i can make you mind blank and steal your education — and do not count on the going bankrupt — even if the did – when a bank or business goes bankrupt the debt survives and your will still be liable for it!!!
