Student loan entitlement on an NHS funded degree course.?
Hi!
I am interested in doing a course in Midwifery starting september next year, but I am wondering….
if there is a means tested bursary from the NHS of £4000, and I know that you can apply for a reduced amount of maintainence grant, but can you apply for a student loan in addition to this to cover additional living expenses etc??
I am aware that the NHS pays the tuition fees, but can anyone let me know if I would be entitled to apply for the NHS bursary, the maintainece grant, and then any additional student loan at all??
Many thanks in advance!!
I don’t think you can. You already get more than most students. In fact you get more money in your hand than a lot of people you will be working with who are employed by the NHS.
