Can board of Ed. demand me to repay a student loan that is over 15 yrs. old? How do I get this discharged.?

I OWE OVER 30 THOUSAND DOLLARS. I DO NOT WORK DUE TO MY MENTAL ILLNESS. SINGLE MOTHER OF 2 YOUNG GIRLS. SET INCOME ONLY COVERS MY BILLS. DONT EVEN HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO PUT INTO SAVINGS. AFRAID IF ANY PROBLEM OCCURS I WONT BE ABLE TO PAY FOR IT. THIS WILL BE A FINANCIAL HARDSHIP FOR ME AND MY GIRLS. I APPLIED FOR A LOAN DISCHARGE DUE TO MY MENTAL ILLNESS HAD MY PSYCHIATRIST SIGN IT AND IT WAS DENIED. I AM SUFFERING FROM BIPOLAR DISORDER FOR MORE THAN 6 YEARS NOW AND THIS IS MAKING ME VERY SICK.

Yes, they can make you repay your student loans back. It’s the law and it doesn’t matter if the loan is 15 years old or 50 years old.
Lots of people are helped by medication for Bipolar disorder. This allows them to take care of their children, manage their finances, and also work. Perhaps this would help.
Good luck.
