Becoming a helicopter Pilot?
I have searched and searched for student loans, grants, scholarships, anything to help me pay for my helicopter pilot training. I want a career out of it. I have considered the military but I don’t have the personality that would take well to it and my family doesn’t approve either, but yet, I don’t have the $75,000 for training, nor does my family. I know even if I could get a loan that big, that I would never be able to pull myself out of it. I don’t know what to do. All of the scholarships I could find were for fixed-wing. I am 16 and a female. I don’t want to do the whole university thing becuase I am starting paramedic school in the fall and I hoped to become a flight medic while going to a university to study psychology (I don’t know if I want that as a career yet), but I do know that I want this. I want this so bad, but I don’t know how to do it. Any help would be great!
I worked three jobs and lived like a monk to save money for much of my initial training… worked then, will work today… Once you get a CFI, FINALLY you can make a few bucks back…
If you gotta fly, you gotta fly… don’t wait for a sugar daddy to drop $75k in your lap… get crackin’ if you want to be a pilot….
