:::::How does school work while in the military::::?

In the National Guard i was looking at their school payment benifits…now for the school program do you pick only 1 program..or do they all apply if you want to go to school….and other branches of the military…like can i have the 100% tuition along side the Studen Loan Repayment Program?

Standard Programs:
•100% Tuition Assistance – Pays up to 100 percent of college tuition—nearly $20,000 over four years
•Montgomery G.I. Bill – Monthly stipend of up to $333 for college expenses—about $11,000 over a three-year period
•The Army National Guard Kicker – Supplement to the Montgomery G.I. Bill, pays additional $350 per month in living expenses—up to $12,600 over 36 months
•Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) – Pays off existing student loans up to $50,000, as well as student loans acquired after enlisting

Depending on how much your parents made last year (if you are under 25) you also have the FASFA program. That would be financial aid. It is free and you don’t have to pay it back.

My son uses FASFA and his GI Bill. He uses the FASFA for his education at a major University and the GI Bill gives him money for him and his dependents to live on while he is in school.

Since he is also considered disabled through the Army and VA he also qualified for the Vocational Rehabilitation assistance. It didnt’ pay as much as the GI Bill.
