How can i get into a Vocational Nursing coarse in the USA?

I’m an international student in Sri-Lanka (age 20) and I’ve been surfing and searching for a way to study in CA USA (or in any other states in the US for that matter) and its been so hard to find it..
My highest level of education is GCE London A/Ls this year with a pass E in Biology.. (i sat for the GCE London O/Ls and passed six subjects in 2006)
I sat for IELTS and got 7.5 academics this year..
Is there a helpful website (or way) i could get thru who would give me helpful details to get an LPN?
Is there someone i could contact?
Is there someone there who is leading the same path as me?
Are my criteria enough to meet the requirements? If not, is there a preparatory course for an international student that i could take prior to Nursing Cert?
Is there some way i could do Nursing in the USA??
HELP!! I’M LOST!!
Oh.. i was wondering about flexible financial aids, would i be able to get grants, loans, etc?

In order to come to the USA to be a college student you have to prove you have the financial support and resources to support yourself and pay for your school. No, you would not be eligible for USA federal and state financial aid programs like grants and loans unless you are a us citizen or eligible non citizen.

Okay, I have no idea what all that GCE, AL, IELTS, and everything else you quoted. These things aren’t offerend, recognized or known in the USA, except maybe as things similar to what we hear in Harry Potter movies.

So, you would need to take the LPN/LVN admission test (sometimes known as the NET test) and interview to see if you could get into the program. But be aware that LPN programs in the US are not college degree programs but a year long certificate program.

You might consider going to school to be a 2 year RN (earning an associates degree) at a community college or a 4 year RN Bachelors degree program at a university.

Here are a few good resources.. hope it helps.
