can i write off a defaulted student loan that is older than seven years old?
i do work, but i only make 2400.00 a month and my rent is 1100.00 a month, plus i have my car note and my utilities. I can’t afford to pay it back. the original loan is older than 17 years old.
Hell no. Those people will hunt you down to pay that until you are old and gray. If you try to get it discharged in court they will tear you apart with you expenses. They expect you to be broke as a joke to have a hardship great enough to discharge. Believe me, I know.
