Some questions about the bankruptcy filing?
I recently experienced a rough divorce and my lawyer and I are filing for bankruptcy. She's not answer me right now I am wondering if the forum here can answer a few questions for me and Quote your sources please! If Please keep in mind that I put a lot of thought on this issue and I am not taken lightly … just seems like my best option = / 1) If I failed it would also cover my student loans? 2) My parents have added to one of their credit cards as 10 years ago and still me about this. If I add this debt to the bankruptcy petition (or whatever it is called), it will also eliminate this debt? T it affect their credit to? 3) What is to prevent someone from, say, go shopping on credit cards, then filing for bankruptcy? It's like they had got everything for free (you know, with the exception of a major dent in their credit!)
If it was on your card does not work without doubt the parents bankruptcy protection. Were all those credit cards in your name if you were married, I do not understand why your ex-husband is not responsible for some of the debt .. Name everything you need except your parents credit. If simply can not pay your student loan debt and credit go to a trustee and they will advise you on what to do. As that agent will work for you and decide what action is best taken.
