Student Loans greater than $ 27,000 for program year 1?
ok I applied for a loan from a private nursing school here in Texas. im doing a year during his NVG 1. i and total loans have if I'd graduated $ 27,000. It would be about $ 230 per month when I started paying for 8 to 10 years. Is this about normal?? Is this the way it is now? I chose Sallie Mae that lender incidentally. Am I wrong or should I accept this fact. I do not like commitment. I thought about going to community college instead and longer be there at least I do not have a commitment after graduation. I do not know! As everyone has the same amount of the loan way like that then I think it's ok.
27,000 for an entire program of NVG is a rip-off. This is the cost of "tuition fees" a large state college, or a run of the mill private college, not a place where you're not even received a Bachelor degree! You will be fooled, this is not normal. Without a co-signer you will not be approved for a loan that large anyway. Depending on your interest rates, if you are put on a ten-year payment plan your payments would be much more than 230 per month, over 330 a month. NVGs are rock bottom insofar as the nursing programs go (except the years CNA) and the money for the property (school course private profit), you may have obtained your RN instead. Heck, even your four years Bachelor degree in RN. You had a hell of a lot more money and would not be the only one to do all the dirty work that NVGs to (again, in addition to the CNA). If you are determined to make an LVN and then go to college community or program technician in the state that offers it. In Texas, if you're in the neighborhood, you can go for less than 600 per semester. (So less than 1,200 per year). Certainly not 27,000 per year. Again, you are scammed. I'll attach a Texas school that offers what you can do this show. Http: / / www.grayson.edu / pdffile / current_catalog.pdf (Page 130 and 131 during show required a total of 61 semester hours required) (Page 17 shows the fees at $ 35.00 per hour semester) So, 61 credit hours time in-district rate of $ 35.00 per hour = $ 2,125 in tuition and books and fees are extra (which would be the cost for two full years). Even with books and fees that you would certainly not pay $ 27,000! You're being scammed, except the 25,000 and go the extra year. You will not be in debt and have a much better chance of graduating. These accelerated programs are notorious for dropouts and people who do not pass not test nursing once they graduate anyway. Good luck, I hope helped. Here is the site I schools got the info from. You have problems like a community college near you. Http: / / grayson.edu
