Help! I am a college Clueless!?
So I basically know nothing about college and I'm already a junior in high school haha. my parents / siblings didn't go perhaps is why I've never met the school and alls we do is plan for which but I would want to go to the University of New Hampshire (I live in ND) and it is obviously incapable of exepensive so that I could apply for a scholarship from the state? or that it does not work? as university scholarships do not sport. and how much it would take off the overall cost to go to college out of state? and what about student loans? it works out of state? i dont even really how which this work is haha
Yes, you can very well apply for grants out of state, both public and private. You can also obtain student loans. Scholarships may be either necessary or not depending on need basis, and student loans are generally granted depending on the amount of money your family will probably be able to help send you to college. the application of these things is a somewhat complicated process, so I definitely recommend talking to someone who knows. Do you have counselors in your school? They probably hear requests for assistance and scholarships. Also, you can watch http://www.collegeboard.com/student/index.html?student, Who contains information on financial aid in general and for specific colleges (type of assistance they provide, and how much). It is also an excellent information site for colleges in general, just in case.
