How can you contact the Department of Education with a problem?

I paid almost $ 15,000.00 in costs education and interest in the classes I was never able to complete because the school closed. I never been given the opportunity to ask or to challenge the provider's right to collect on the loan bill. I thought that's what loans the federal government insured student, just in case a situation like this happened. There are forms to fill out to request a hearing on the subject, but no address provided anywhere where to send them. I was harassed for years to pay the loan and was punished harshly for late payment. I know that this is a common problem, so maybe someone has actually managed to locate the place to send this survey that will not pass the buck and send me on a wrong track. Can we expect to deal with the Ministry of Education on these types of complaints that, in all fairness should be resolved. Some large companies to open these schools and take the tuition fees to Bankruptcy and Rob innocent victims.

If you have borrowed federal student loans and the school closed, you may be eligible for a discharge of your private school loans. You do not have to fill out forms (which you mentioned that you already have) and work with your lender. If the lender does not cooperate, be, you should contact the Federal Student Aid (FSA) Office of the Ombudsman. They work with the federal student loan borrowers to resolve problems with their lenders. When calling, please make sure you have as much information as possible, because they ask for details about the situation (eg school name, when closed, what types of loans you have borrowed, what have you done to work with your lender, who did you talk with the office of the lender, etc..) The more information you can provide evidence on the first call, the better they are able to help. You can contact the FSA Ombudsman's Office at: 1-877-557-2575 or http://ombudsman.ed.gov
