I filled out a FAFSA form last year and was offered a Subsidized Stafford Loan…?
Everything went well; I received enough money to pay for tuition and books for the whole year. This year, I submitted another FAFSA application and turned in all the required documents that my financial aid office requested, but I haven’t had any awards offered yet and school starts in two weeks. I know I don’t qualify for grants (free money), but I was hoping to be offered another Stafford Loan. Do I have to go directly to my lender to request this? Or does it happen automatically like it did my first year receiving aid?
I haven’t received anything that says I don’t qualify for the loan or that I won’t get one.
